Camp Gan Israel is named for Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Chassidism (1698-1760), who went to the fields and forests to pray, meditate, and relate to his Creator in a profound environment. CGI Running Springs instills in our campers a sense of awe, reverence, and gratitude by exposing them to the miracles of nature.

We take full advantage of our spectacular location to offer a range of exciting outdoor activities like day hikes, horseback riding, mountain biking, a high and low ropes challenge course, orienteering, overnight camping trips, and hands-on ecology courses.

In addition to all the activities on our 70-acre campus, campers can explore other nearby options:

The National Children’s Forest: A special section within the S. Bernardino National Forest dedicated to teaching children about nature’s wonders.

The Green Valley Lake: A secluded lake that’s a perfect spot for canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and pedal boats.

Baldwin Lake Stables: Multiple trails across a variety of terrains with breathtaking vistas for horseback riding.
